Coach Jim DiRosa begins his 14th year coaching in the Trinity Ice Hockey program. He was a 1989 graduate of Trinity high school where he was a hockey letterman and a member of the 1988-89 State Runner-up squad. He will assist with the Junior varsity this year.
He played his youth hockey in the Garfield Heights youth hockey program where he was a member of a squirt team which won the Silver stick championship and set many Garfield Heights team records.
As a member of the Trojan varsity, DiRosa was a winger and excelled on special teams for the team. His most memorable goal came in the 1989 State final four when he scored a power play goal to give the Trojans a second period lead on the Bowling Green Bobcats. The Trojans won the game 4-3 in overtime to advance to the state championship game.
Coach DiRosa lives on Twinsburg with his wife Connie and their two sons, both of whom skate in the Garfield Hts. Youth hockey program, where Jim also serves as head coach of the Mite AA team.
