Trinity Trojan Ice Hockey News


December 13, 2005:

 

     In the cold confines of the North Park Recreation complex in Elyria, Trinity's Ice hockey Trojans opened up the first round of the North Coast League tournament with a dominating 5-1 victory over the Holy Name Green Wave. The Green Wave , newcomers to the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League, led by sophomore goaltender Mike Legarth kept it close for a period, but the Trojans opened up the game with 3 second period goals en route to the victory.

     Trinity out shot the Wave 31-8 and controlled the play throughout the contest while all 20 players dressed saw action for the Blue and White.

     The final goal of the contest was scored by freshman Nick Hudeck , his first as a Trojan.

     With the victory , the Trojans advance to the second round of the tournament where they will face the Padua Bruins in a Tuesday night contest at North Park. Face-off for the contest is at 8:30pm
